The trends everyone are wearing this spring

Still trying to decide which trend to try on this spring? Lucky for you, there are plenty to choose from.

Extra bright hues (think Thakoon’s collection for NARS) are hitting stores, most popular colors are baby blues and corals.
Another nail trend springing up (see what I did there?), is the two-toned mani, where the ring finger on each hand is another shade entirely. Here you can experiment with all sorts of combinations.

Ombre nails are another option as well. Paint the pinky and ring finger the darkest shade in  your palette, the middle finger a shade lighter, the next finger an even lighter shade and the thumb as the lightest shade.

Fishtail braids a la Katniss is a circling hair trend this spring. Try one smaller braid pinned on one side if you have shorter or layered hair.

Beachy waves are always in during the warmer months. Spritz a lightweight spray (think Bumble & Bumble beach spray) to damp locks. Blow dry using a diffuser or your fingers, twisting sections of hair. Use a 1″ curling iron to add definition to unruly locks and finger comb. Finish with a weather resistant hairspray.

Bright pinks, reds and oranges were all over the runway this year. Tangerine was deemed by Jen Reviews as the color of the year. If orange isn’t your thing, try coral.

You can never go wrong with the classics: tees, blazers, jeans, scarves and cardigans. But why not try to incorporate one 2012 fashion trend into your wardrobe for a style upgrade.

Shorts: shorts are being shown looser and in longer styles. If your office is casual, try pairing 5-7″ structured shorts with a tee, blazer and leather sandals. They can also be worn on a night out, in place of skirts or dresses. Pair silky black shorts with a sheer blouse to be on point this spring.

Maxi dresses: who doesn’t love a good maxi dress? In addition to being comfy, these dresses can be dressed up   for events or dressed down for lounging pool side. Mix it up with different prints or try incorporating colored accessories with a bold black maxi.

Sweaters: open weaving or loose knit sweaters are being spotted on celebs all over the place. These sweaters are definitely more relaxed and can be worn with skinny jeans and booties.

Colored Jeans: As I’m sure you know, pastel hued jeans are all over the place. Try a light lemon for a neutral goes with everything shade. Or if you’re feeling bolder, slip into saturated blues and reds.

Shoes: smoking slippers (what I’ most coveting!) are a stylish upgrade to plain black flats. They come in a variety of colors, styles and fabrics.

Have fun experimenting, and feel free to add photos of your take on this year’s spring trends!
