2 ways to wear Boho style

If you gravitate towards fringe, boots and wearable artistic pieces then boho is your style.

The key to this style is looking effortless. Unfortunately, looking effortless may take a bit of effort. Be mindful of proportion, otherwise this style can read sloppy. I put together some outfit ideas to capture the boho look while still keeping your composure.

Outfit 1: Welcome fall with colored skinny jeans, moccasin boots, a boyfriend or over-sized sweater. Add on a chunky beaded necklace and a wool floppy hat and you’re good to go.

It’s a very earthy approach, so naturally many bohemian-esque accessories can include straw or raffia, wood, fringe, leather and beading. Don’t be afraid to play with different textures, it’s a great way to punch up a tee or sweatshirt.

Outfit 2: Slip into a  maxi dress, open cardigan, motorcycle boots and printed scarf.

Have fun with prints! Add a scarf in a fun ikat or paisley for a pop of color. Open knits are so cozy for fall, but if needed, cinch your cardi with a leather belt to define your waistline.

Your go-to stores:Anthropologie, Forever 21, Urban Outfitters, thrift and vintage stores, H&M, ASOS.

Last, draw inspiration from nature, music and muses. Actresses like Kate Hudson and Sienna Miller epitomize boho-chic; draw your creativity from their styles and try stepping out of your comfort zone. Now head to the nearest outdoor music festival and rock on moon-flower.
