One of my favorite things is when a store ties a social mission into their business.

UncommonGoods is a Brooklyn based online boutique that carries a healthy stock of unique, often handmade gifts, useful gadgets and quirky barware. The retailer’s objective is an eclectic mix, it’s main focus is to support local artists, but also carry environmentally conscious products. From working with charities to offering collections featuring recycled materials, UncommonGoods is the right balance of store meets social responsibility.

Not to mention, I could probably spend hours on their website. And boy am I glad I did, because I scored this wonderfully cool city map rocks glass, complete with a whiskey ice ball, (which you can find here and here).IMG_0286

Naturally I chose the Chicago map, but the site has 13 cities to choose from like San Francisco, Dallas, New Orleans and Seattle. The ice ball is perfect for sipping slowly without worrying about your bourbon losing its punch.

I also threw in a sleek travel-friendly power card that will be useful on my long road trip up the west coast next month. It’s super thin and features a pop-out USB drive, which can pop back in and fit in your wallet comfortably. (Find it here.)

Those are my finds this month, but the website constantly features new products so I culled a wish list, which I hope will serve as some gift-ing inspiration!
