Living room style

Now that I’m finally* settled in my new apartment, I’m so excited to share my photos with all of you.

*Who am I kidding? I don’t think I’ll ever be finally settled, there’s always a new chair/rug/lamp to buy. :p

Eventually, I would love to showcase each room in my apartment, but we’ll start slowly with one-two rooms at a time, so without further adieu, here’s the completed living room along with THE couch. It took us about four months to get this couch–whole debacle with Crate and Barrel–but I’m so happy to have it finally home as the spotlight of the living room.

Couch: Crate and Barrel Axis Couch in slate // Rug: Crate and Barrel // Coffee table: Amazon // Side table: World Market // Pillows: West Elm, World Market // Lamp shade: Target // Lamp: Vintage // Frames: Target // Photos: Etsy // Hanging planter: West Elm

The mini Chicago skyline was painted by my dear friend Amy Karpowicz who is so incredibly talented and creative! Peruse on over to Amy’s photography site to swoon over her gorgeous pics. 🙂

The room is fairly divided in terms of sides, the lounge and couch to the right and the mantle and fireplace to the left.

I’ve done a few Instagram posts behind the mantle and where to find specific items, but if you are dying to know where I got something just ask in the comments!

Stay tuned for an upcoming post on where to buy air plants–aka giant tillandsia’s and how to care for them!
