Warmly invested

For as long as I can remember, the cardigan has been my trusted friend for all seasons. It’s practical, it’s versatile, although it was getting a bit predictable–see my winter wardrobe post–I still love a cozy companion to slide into. However, there’s a newcomer on scene that is now rivaling my love of cardigans with its equal versatility and comfort, wardrobe meet the vest.

One of my favorite vests is a short in the back, longer in front sweater vest from Banana Republic–see my sweater vest post here–and I still rock that cozy stunner on the regular. Upon realizing how vests were just as warm, and more unique than my v-neck cardigans, I purchased my second vest, this luxe red and black faux shearling vest from Anthropologie, and BONUS! It’s on sale! ๐Ÿ™‚

I love the subtle, but cool weaved print and just how freaking warm it is. Lipstick is Jungle Red by Nars.

Here I paired it with a navy wrap dress, also from Anthroplogie (similar here), gray tights, and my fringe Sam Edelman booties. I decided to belt the vest (a vintage find via mom!) to cinch my waist, but I also love rocking this with a gray long sleeve t-shirt and leggings sans belt.
