We are well-into wedding season, and I should know–we have six this year including our own! For the weddings where I’m not standing up, I eyed two dresses that have been great for dance floor boogying and celebrating all wedding-related things.
One is pink, comfortable and perfect for August/those hot summer weddings–humidity is my enemy, but this dress won’t wrinkle! And my second option has a bit more vintage flair for fall. Shop the looks below and see my other choices for wedding guest outfits! To keep the looks affordable and consistent, I kept my jewelry to a minimum–just a simple geometric ring, but find one or two small pieces that you can incorporate to your wedding looks to make the style your own!
I wanted something really soft that I could wear from spring into summer, but that I could also move in. This soft-spun cotton dress from Gap was the answer to my comfort needs! The pastel pink is so pretty and the ruffle makes the dress seem a bit more formal and balances the casual fabric well.
I paired this dress with open-toed shooties in a neutral beige to elongate my legs while keeping the dress the star of the show. The dress does do some heavy curve hugging, so I may opt for spanx or other waist-hugging shape wear for the next party.
To capture my big waves, use a 1-inch curling iron and work in sections, curling away from your face, then brush out the curls and set with hairspray– it’s easy, I promise!
The vintage silhouette of this dress makes it timeless, so play around with prints and fabrics, but keep the shape the same and you’ll be looking like a mighty fine wedding guest this season!
